Frequently Asked Questions

Good questions.

The short version of everything merchants ask. For step-by-step instructions, see the docs.

How does matching actually work?

Each review's email is normalized (case, plus-tags, Gmail dot-folding) and compared against your order history. A match requires the same buyer and the reviewed product in an order placed before the review, within a configurable window. Near-miss emails (small typos, same person on a different domain) are reported as "likely match" rather than counted as verified.

What do the four verdicts mean?

Matched: a real order for that product from that buyer. Likely match: the email is a near-certain variant of a real buyer's. Customer, different product: a real customer, but no order for the reviewed product. No matching order found: nothing in your order history corresponds to this reviewer.

Does a low match rate mean something is wrong with my reviews?

Not necessarily. Reviews can be legitimate and still unmatched — gift recipients, marketplace imports, guest checkouts under a different email, or orders older than your history window. The audit gives you the number; interpreting it is yours.

Which review platforms are supported?

CSV export works with any platform. Direct connections: Loox and Judge.me today; more are planned. Ask on the support page for your platform.

How far back does order history go?

By default Shopify grants apps the last 60 days of orders. Full-history access is a separate Shopify approval the app requests; until granted, audits cover the window available.

Is my customers' data safe?

Review and order data is processed in memory and discarded. Only aggregate results are stored — no emails, no review text. Details in the privacy policy.

Will the badge slow my storefront down?

No. It is a theme app extension rendering a static value — no JavaScript, no calls to our servers from your storefront.

Can I remove the badge?

Anytime — unpublish it in the app, or remove the theme block. It is never added automatically.
