Privacy Policy

TallySeal Reviews Audit is a Shopify app by E-CLARX LLC that compares a store's product reviews against that store's own order history. This policy explains what data the app touches, what it keeps, and what it never does.

What we process

To run an audit, the app processes reviewer names and email addresses (from a CSV file the merchant uploads, or from a review platform the merchant connects, such as Loox or Judge.me) and order data from the Shopify Admin API (buyer email, products purchased, and order dates). This data is used for one purpose only: determining whether each review corresponds to a real order in that store.

What we store

Review and order data is processed in memory and discarded when the audit finishes. The app stores only:

What we never do

Deletion

Uninstalling the app deletes all of a store's data — audit history, stored credentials, and sessions — via Shopify's mandatory shop/redact webhook, within Shopify's 30-day window. Customer redaction requests (customers/redact) are honored the same way; since the app stores no customer-level data, there is typically nothing to redact beyond confirming that fact.

Security

All data moves over TLS. The production database is hosted with encryption at rest and encrypted backups. Connected review-platform credentials are encrypted at the application layer before they reach the database. Access is limited to the developer, protected by two-factor authentication.

Storefront badge

The optional storefront badge displays only the aggregate result the merchant explicitly chooses to publish (match percentage, review count, and audit date). It contains no customer data and makes no requests to our servers from the storefront.
